Y 0: D 202: Doldrums 52: Assessing the Rise [gm]Feeling no pressure for time, the crew begins to analyze their environment and possible enemy on a more proficient scope. The rise itself protrudes upward between 3/4 to the average height of a man. It looks out of place, at first, but it appears as if the entire area was once a smooth hill from which the light debris has fallen away to reveal the harder rock. Looking at the grasses, it appears that these Amiradtha have been using this as a campsite for some time. Their main path for exiting and entering is through the single split in the otherwise definable circumference. Moving around, carefully concealed, the rise is larger than first estimated. It appears to be about 10 paces across (60') and about 32 or so paces around (~192'). There are 16 sizable trees covering the flat surface of the mesa. Three snares are also discovered in the grass, designed to catch rabbits and game birds. The crew catches occasional glimpses of the Amiradtha, but not enough to get a definitive count. The estimate is 10 or 12, all young. Amiradtha are tall Faethrins, averaging 7' tall and having thin builds. These are dressed rudimentarily and carry spears. There are males and females. From the sounds of things (No one understands a single word of Amiradtha.) there is some revelry to the group, to be only mid morning, and very little attention is being given to their surrounding.[/gm]
