DAY 203: Raven Elk agrees with Vittero: "Yes, we haven't literally traveled too far from our homes; but, I think we as brothers have traveled a great distance. I think Vittero has the right of it. We need to go home assess our new abilities and what they mean to us on our own, then find a place where we can work together with Way, as a team, while we wait for new employ, or --- we brave out on our own." DAY 204: It felt good to be going home after a successful adventure/mission. DAY 205: Raven Elk sees that with every battle/encounter they all think more and more like a team --- much more so then when they played games together, for fun or competition. DAY 206: Spent meditating and "exercising"/investigating small uses of Way: Empathizing with animals (a chipmunk), Starting a fire (the only way they could get a campfire going in the drizzling rain), wishing he could see far distances (like an eagle), hear far distances (like a hunting cat), smelling intensity increase (stopped that immediately, realizing all of them needed to bathe in the nearest river. They had all gotten a bit "ripe"). DAY 207: Taylar and Adisakti kill two brown beetles before anyone else could even get in a lick at them. The way they smiled at each other after the kills, the rest knew they manipulated Way to make their blows "telling". Later, Raven Elk tries to use the Seeing far distances at night along with hearing to far distances at the same time (like an Owl.) This is how Raven Elk heard and saw the sheep they would kill later the next day, leading his friends to the herd, never realizing he dreamed the whole event. DAY 208: Sweltering day; and who, by the Great Father, ever knew sheep could run so damned fast!?! Only one killed out of a good 20+ animals. But, they were of the small, wild variety, NOT the plump, overfed domestic types --- so, just one more lesson for he and his friends. Once felled the sheep cause an overwhelming sense of deja vu. Realizing that he dreamed this the night before, momentarily, sends chills up Raven Elk's spine. DAY 209: Hard to meditate in this heat. Spent the day dreaming of rain. DAY 210: Maka is becoming quite amazing with his bow. The grouse was down before it had lifted itself more than a pace into the air. Though amongst the five of them, the morsels of fire-roasted, herbed grouse were very satisfying. Raven Elk would later ask for a grouse tail-feather and analyze its proclivity along with Vittero. [ooc]Waiting on GM response[/ooc] DAY 211: Raven Elk looks to the faces of the townsfolk as they enter The Outpost during a light rain. He sees the look of appreciation and good omen in their eyes, realizing that, in their small way, they have returned "the conquering heroes". How bringing justice to a distraught man's brother's memory would do that, he understood. From here on, Raven Elk felt that they would be called upon to right wrongs in their home district --- and, eventually, beyond. It would be good to see Ma again and tell her of all their adventures --- and to study with her more, especially in the healing arts. He knew this would be extra helpful, especially when aided by Way.
