As this is the peak of the harvest season, the crew hires on with one of the farms. The pay is meager, but instead of having to spend coin, the crew actually earns some, while being immersed in the language they are attempting to learn.</p><p></p><p>The crew spends their days in the field and their evenings within the city, sleeping in the bunk houses on the farm of their employment. The evening in the taverns are lively and enjoyable. The crew collects tidbits of information about several rumors. Many seem to be far-fetched tales that are intended to be entertaining, like the idea that some monster lives underneath the city that devours anyone who ventures down their for too long. The most promising stories involve rumors of Yahdram ruins, abandoned after the Sundering, that could still hold mountains of treasure. The place that seems the nearest is called the Keep of the Rising Sun, which is supposed to be in the center of The Spine, about a day north of the East Road.</p><p></p><p>[gm]Each crew member earns the equivalent of 10 francs a day while harvesting. Meals and lodging are included with the fare, adding 800 francs to the crew's total coin value.
