Evidently whoever once lived here, they had a life of leisure.</p><p></p><p>The crew notices a great many birds flying about as they travel, including some soaring birds of prey that look more sleek and streamlined than any seen before. Perhaps the isolation of this vale has allowed the avians to flourish while preventing ingress of other legged animals, except maybe goats who are very sure footed.</p><p></p><p>The greater flora of the valley is populated with nut and fruit trees, all of which are readily in harvest for it is the correct time of year for such. The main trees all seem to have been originally planted, but other weeds and vines have become to creep in as nature has begun to take back over what was once manicured and kept.</p><p></p><p>The ascent and descent have taken a greater portion of the lighted time of day and dusk is beginning to fall as the crew finds itself on the flat patio-like valley floor, the sky mostly obscured by the canopy of pecans. Strange sounds of unrecognized creatures fills the air, likely the chirping of frogs or other nocturnal amphibians.
