Day 129: and in This Corner... [gm]Some explanation of the pending contest is offered. Tor understanding not a single word of it. To his surprise the two men are placed back to back and the spokesman motions for the crowd to quite. What Tor does understand, even without words, is that the man will clap his hands to signal the fight. Standing back to back with this mighty Maldrog, Tor can feel his musculature and sense his density and strength. At the clap, Tor, being right handed, spins to his right. Suspecting this, the Mhytre spins to his left, the two rotating together like a gear. The Smith catches Tor's plant foot mid-thigh with his forearm causing Tor to tumble forward to the ground. Simultaneously due to his superior height, Tor elbows the Smith in the head as he goes down. Being exposed to real combat, Tor immediately jumps back to his feet, but it proves unnecessary. The crowd is roaring and cheering. Money changes hands. As Tor dusts himself off, the Smith rubs his head and nods toward Tor. This first round is considered a draw. Sheldon tries to discretely collect his winnings, placing another bet. The two men are placed back to back again, and the clap is sounded. Both men step forward and away this time. The Smith spins faster than Tor would have imagined that he could and drives forward with his shoulder leading into Tor's mid section. He then slams his right elbow upward into his chest, which knocks Tor from his feet. The crowd roars and cheers again. Money changes hands and the Smith helps Tor to his feet. This round goes to the Smith. The two men are placed back to back, and the clap is sounded a third time. Both men step forward agian, but Tor windmills his arms and spins as he moves. Tor's backhands slides harmless off the spinning Smith's head blocking his vision for a split second. As it does Tor throws a punch toward his head. He realizes in the fraction of a second that he is going to connect. He holds back on his follow through and alters the aim, landing his fist squarely on the Smith's forehead instead of nose. The Smith staggers back, momentarily dazed. The most amazing thing then happens. The entire crowd makes the same hoohah sound and stomps a foot. Money changes hand. This round goes to Tor. **to be continued...[/gm]
