TWF At Range?

i think you need to look under crossbow on page 100 of the 3ed PHB. i don't know 3.5 well enough to spout page numbers.;)

Do you mean the penalties for using two ranged weapons under the Heavy Crossbow, diaglo?

Unfortunately, I do not have the 3.5e rules. However, referring to the 3.5 SRD, the penalty is explained thus:

"You can shoot a heavy crossbow with each hand, but you take a penalty on attack rolls as if attacking with two one-handed weapons". (Substitute "two light weapons" under the entries for hand and light crossbows).
The 3.5 SRD does not mention the TWF penalties at all, whereas the 3.0 PHB DOES mention the TWF feat under the heavy crossbow entry (only). Nor have I found any other reference to this penalty elsewhere in the SRD.

However, my original post was about thrown weapons and using Rapid Shot with TWF.

This is incorrect. Fighting with two weapons only gives you 1 attack at your best attack bonus with the off hand weapon, so you'd get +6/+1 with the main weapon and +6 with the off-hand weapon.

D'oh, I stand corrected. I MEANT - but did not write - that the character would go for improved TWF path. Sorry about that! What a sloppy first thread I've inadvertently created

heh, fair enough.

You might want to check d20 Modern for more clarification, since you can wield guns akimbo in that for sure. Pistols in each hand are easy enough, after all :)
