Two-headed fossil found

The only known fossil of a two-headed reptile has been found in China. The species is thought to have normally had one head. This seems to be a mutant that died young, maybe before birth.

I think this is interesting because it lends credence to the argument that mutation amongst reptiles, and specifically extra limbs (or heads), is not specifically caused by man-mide mutagens. I'm not saying this to try and excuse global pollution - only that we're not necessarily the only cause.

That is a cool fossil though.

Like I said, unfortunately no. Life's been a little rough of late, and now that I'm applying for graduate school at SU, it's even more of a chore to get everything together.
