Two Towers - Arwen leaves Middle-Earth - wtf?

Actually, I was curious about Narsil and whether it had be reforged already, so I watched Fellowship again recently, specifically the scene with Boromir and the sword. Then I went out and watched Two Towers again. The sword Aragorn is using in Two Towers is not the blade reforged, unless he also completely redid the hilt. Narsil has a very distinctive hilt and the one Aragorn is using, while nice, is not it.

So I'm guessing that Arwen will take him the sword.

Possible RotK spoilers. (Who knows though with the way PJ feels free to change everything around)

Unfortunately I agree that Arwyn will bring the sword, but this then poses other problems. From the PJ timeline Arwyn is leaving Rivendell at the same time as the battle of Helm's Deep. In order for the Grey Company of Rangers and Elronds son's to arrive in time to join up with Aragorn for his journey through the paths of the Dead they would have had to leave at least 1-2 weeks prior to Helm's Deep. Unless he gets it before he leaves on the Paths of the Dead he has no chance to recieve it until the end of the battle of the Pelanor Fields. It is possible that Aragorn will not need the sword until the company of Captains arrives at the Black Gate but then its significance is relegated to much less. Additionally if Arwyn somehow shows up in time (For some reason the she travels uncommoly fast or the scene of her leaving is earlier than it appears) to give Aragorn the sword before the Paths of the Dead what is she going to do then? Ride with Aragorn on the Paths (An awfull change for PJ to do) or hang out with the Rhorirrm until they meet again (A silly concept that leaves the less desirable first option more likely). I am scarred because any of these options detracts from the Tolkiens story significantly. So far even the departures that have been made already would pale in comparison to Arwyn showing up with the sword and what to do with her then.

As for timing issues, I'm sure she'll hop on Asfaloth at earliest opportunity to make it there in time. Naro lim! I recall a reference that suggested that Asfaloth and Shadowfax were related The Ultimate Horse that one of the Valar rode.

Which means both of them can go at speeds that suggest they should be farting rocket exhaust! And, yeah, Arwen arrives in time to do what she needs to do.
