Nah, it's funny. There's no insult to veil, thinly or not, because he's not actually saying anything about 3e vs 4e, he's just parrotting the arguments out of context. Taking comments and putting them in new context is one of the tried and true methods of finding humor.

Although it sure isn't very funny to try to explain all that to you. :\

Another word for parroting is mocking. The fact that something may be humorous (to some) does not magically render it non-insulting.

But then, if I liked Monopoly, and you liked Parcheesi, I wouldn't see that as an insult either, so I don't see the 3e vs. 4e threads as being insulting per se.

I thought Hairfoot was actually being self-mocking. I laugh at myself all the time.
