What I wonder is how we got along BEFORE you delurked, BSF.

Seriously, thanks for the nod about my story hour and XP system (funny, but I'm NOT using it now. I've crafted a new system that I'll share with you sometime if you like). I considered myself lucky to count you among my readers because I think you're one of the most thoughtful and articulate members of the boards. And I somehow just KNOW that we'd have a great time gaming together if we ever managed to be in the same place at the same time.

Anyhow, I look forward to many more years of having you as a fellow board member and I'm not just saying that because we have the same last name.

Rel, how is your current exp system? I would be interested in hearing about it. I would love the opportunity to meet you. For that matter, I would love to meet some of your players as well. It sounds like you have a great group and they sound like great people.

I _really_ want to go to Gen Con. But work schedules are making that difficult to work in. The new house is making it difficult to afford. *sigh* I suppose there is an outside shot, but I think I will be planning on next year as my best 'for sure' time.

I know how you feel. Honestly, if I wasn't already signed up to go and made extensive plans, recent events in my life (mostly related to finances) would push me toward not going this year. But I know I'll have a great time and I'll just have to push that debt onto the pile and keep on truckin'.

With a bit of luck I'll have a good year with my fledgling company and be able to more comfortably afford to go next year too. *crosses fingers*
