Tyranny of Goblins Order Cards

My son used his grass cutting money to buy the first two faction packs. We've only had time to play a couple turns so far but it seems to be a pretty cool game. Sort of a mix of card collecting game and table top skirmish but the randomnes is built into the game itself not in buying random packs. He's already looking for ways to come up with some funds to get tyrany of goblins.[D][/D]

I skipped the Cormyr pack but immediately bought this one after getting 'Sting of Lolth'. Still haven't played it, though.

It's a fun game. Quite easy to setup, rather quick to play and has a lot of variety so it can always surprise you. The more boxed sets the better it's bound to be because of the variety.

I have both of the first boxed sets and play about twice a month with my teenage son who really enjoys it.

Got a chance to play a full game last night. It was fun. I parked my war wizard on a magic circle and just kept bringing new troops into the middle of the map. At first my son was a little discouraged...he kept running guys up with no support into range of my guys. Once I pointed out ways he could mass his troops, take advantage of terrain and focus fire the game evened up. He immobilized my dragon then killed it in one turn! I won the game but was down to 3 morale in the end. I'd play it again.
