TYRANT DOMAIN

Granted Power: Your enchantment (compulsion) spells are cast at DC +2.

TYRANT DOMAIN SPELLS
1. Command
2. Benediction of the Iron Fist (see below)
3. Compel (as command, but duration is 1 minute/level or until completed, whichever is first, and you can issue a short sentence as the command, such as "Give me the sword of power, worm!" or "My dear princess, place these manacles around those lovely wrists of yours.")
4. Dominate Person
5. Greater Command
6. Geas/Quest
7. Mass Domination
8. True Domination
9. Thrall
Hm... I like hold person better. And spell focus (enchantment) seems reasonable. With those two changes, I'm yoinking this :D.

Personally, I think granting feats as domain abilities is kind of boring. I prefer to see something interesting and unique, rather than a feat. SF: Enchantment makes sense here, yes, but it's just not that exciting. Mechanically, it might be a bit too powerful - that's a nice feat, very appropriate for the type of character this domain would appeal to. If they don't get it as a domain feat, they're pretty likely to take it with their normal feats. That means they're getting a good power and a very good spell list. Most of the higher level spells here aren't even available to clerics.

I liked the idea of granting bonuses to Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate better than SF: Enchantment.

I'm not afraid of anything that my players could do with this, compared to, say, the Destruction or Magic domains. And really, it does an excellent job of focusing the character on the types of spells it gives.

As for boring domain powers... yeah. Them's the breaks - 50% of all domain powers are going to be boring, because interesting domain powers are also typically too powerful.

For power reference, though, most domain powers were written to be roughly equivalent to a feat in power (usually a weak feat). This one's a reasonably strong feat, with strong spells, but like I said, I don't have a real problem with that. This one, at least, isn't combinatorial with other domain powers like Luck + Death (two chances to roll high enough to kill? shore thang, let me jes' tetch thet there wizard).

Glad you guys like it. It's hard to find a domain that really rocks and focuses on the narrow set of spells it should. Some domains I look at and go "huh?" why is that dumb spell in there? How is that cool?", like "enthrall" in the Domination and Tyranny (FR) domains. Nobody ever uses this spell ever IMC. It's a wasted domain spell slot, especially if both your domains have it like this one cleric of Bane I know... :D
