D&D 5E UA content published in future?

Anyone have a sense of when UA content will be released in the future as "official?" Are all answers pure speculation?

Additionally, several threads have discussed NOT using any UA content when multiclassing. Is this an official recommendation or merely conventional wisdom?

Thanks in advance for any info...

PS: where the heck would they publish a hexblade?

I'm really hoping they do a broad survey of player preferences for all the proposed classes/sub-classes, choose the "best", then tweak them based on mechanics feedback.

I've been thinking about putting together a SurveyMonkey (sorry, enworld: not enough functionality in built-in polling system) of all the UA classes and subclasses to do just this, but have been too lazy to compile a comprehensive list. If somebody wants to post such a list I will put the survey together. Ideally would have URLs or at least dates of relevant UA articles.

I hope I'm not dredging up any painful discussions by asking, but what were the chief "offenders" that led to this recommendation? I don't read every thread and tend not to read the UA threads at all. I'll take links to such discussions if that's easiest.

In my new campaign, starting April 7, I said it was okay to use UA content (so I can contribute to playtest discussions), but we're not using feats in this one. I've never had a game without feats, so I want to see what it's like. What am I in for?

The only official statement is that UA content is presented before any multiclass-related issues are taken into consideration. However, much of the UA material isn't impacted by multiclassing at all.

Whatever those other posters are saying, they're wrong. There is no official rule, recommendation or guideline preventing or discouraging you from using UA content for a multiclassed character.

How could there be? Nothing in UA is official or finished, it is all playtest. So whenever somebody claims you can't use UA content for a multiclassed character, they're plain wrong.

It's not like there are two levels of "use at your own risk here". Either you can't use any UA content at all, because it's all unpolished work-in-progress stuff, or you can use some or all of it, in which the details are up to you and your DM. :)

Nothing definite is known. There is no guarantee any specific UA content will be published at all.

We simply do not know because WotC isn't telling. Their new policy is to say nothing about releases more distant in time than a couple of months.

Or what seems to be somewhat more accurate to nothing that they haven't already confirmed with their printers will be printed. The lead on book print is long enough that the few months future makes these about the same thing.
