UA- Defense Bonuses and Action Points?

Do you think a feat that'd allow a character to add half the AC value of their armor to their AC+their Defense Bonus would be overpowered?

It might, depending on your game. The only thing not stacking with Def is AC bonuses and magic armor bonuses. Shields, Natural Armor, Deflection, Dodge, Haste and other bonuses stack. I'd avoid the feat in a magic rich game.

A 20th level fighter under the UA system has a 22 AC base, plus Dex (remember no cap), shield, and magic goodies. A good dex (14) and med shield is 26 AC before magic. Our hypothetical fighter with full plate and the feat would have a 29 before magic.

If you're thinking of going that route, just use the armor as DR rules next to Def to stack its ac with DR (you get half the AC value as AC, the other half as DR).

Usually FLGS allow customers to reserve a copy for them when the shipment comes. Ask the Game Room's retailer to put a hold on a future copy of UA and leave your phone number so they can notify you.

Eh, the Game Room is kinda schmucky about this; they want payment in advance and oftentimes "don't get the shipment in". IOW, they jerk you around; the only reason to shop there is when you're buying something they've got in stock.

So, what other things can you do with Action Points that you couldn't do in D20 Modern?
