UK Rejoices! Distribution of WotC stuff sorted out! But...

Plane Sailing

Astral Admin - Mwahahaha!
With great joy, I noticed this on the Orcs Nest RPG shop website today.

The long awaited catch up consignment of releases from Wizards of the Coast has now arrived. All of the stuff that we have missed so far this year is included. See below for details.

The logistical problems that have stopped any new DnD and other WOTC products reaching the UK have now been resolved. New products will now be shipped directly to the UK, and will not have to go through a central European warehousing and distribution network.

This is great news.

But...

the bad news is that we might never see Dragon issues 293 & 294... Help!

Was there anything in those two issues that would make it particularly worth trying to track them down? I seem to remember some talk about a "running a country" article?

Help or pointers to existing reviews on these boards would be great.

Cheers

p.s. sorry to anyone who thought this was a post about Upper_Krust rejoicing...

Hi,

Dragon 293 and 294 are sitting in my local game store (York) as I type along with the appropriate issues of Dungeon. So you might be in luck.

I got 293 a month or so back, but MFLGS says they can't get 294 at the moment :( They're still trying though.

Still, they've got Dungeon 91 and 92, so it's not all bad.

Dragon #293 includes rules for vehicle combat in D&D, 4 Greyhawk dieties which apparently didn't make Dieties & Demigods, an article on character catchphrases, The Nightsong Infiltrator (a rogue-oriented PrC by Monte Cook), The Green Hunter (a Faithes of Faerun series PrC), an installment of Elminster's Guide to the Realms, an article on relics of dieties of the Greyhawk pantheon, an installment of Bazaar of the Bizarre (redubbed Bazaar of the Truly Bizarre), humor articles Gamers vs. Girlfriends and Play With Your Feats ("gamer" feats), the Living Greyhawk Journal, and the normal articles in the back quarter, although no Dungeoncraft.

Dragon #294 includes a Cavern Tiles insert, an article on small gods (those which are only worshipped in one particular place or by a single family), an article on using television as a guideline for campaign / adventure structures, a special long edition of Dungeoncraft titled "Countrycraft" which deals with creating countries in a campaign world, an article which assigns ECLs to all the monsters from the Monster Manual, an article on using Genasi in your campaign, an article by Andy Collins on customising your campaign via PrCs, an installment of Elminster's Guide to the Realms, a Bestiary article detailing six new wolves, Nightsong Enforcer (a rogue or rogue/fighter oriented PrC by Monte Cook), an installment of the Living Greyhawk Journal, and once again the normal articles in the back quarter.

Both issues also contained editorials, letters to the editors, and the usual amount of cartoons and advertisements.
