Ultima IX Redemption

Greetings from Finland!

I'm a member of a group producing a free Morrowind mod called Ultima IX Redemption, which is aspiring to become the unofficial ending for the classic computer roleplaying series Ultima.

My responsibility is the music and although the project will take some time still to finish I thought of sharing a few sample songs from the material I have done so far. It would be really great to get some feedback - do you think this kind of material fits in to a fantasy rpg and how do you find the atmosphere and ideas.

Hello and welcome to the forums!

I thought they were quite good, and really seem to fit the part. I can easily imagine them being in a store shelf game.

This forum of the site doesn't get as much traffic as the others. If you really want alot of feedback I would try posting this in the 'General RPG Discussion' or maybe 'Off-Topic'. Just give it a different title or slant, like home-brewed gaming music or something.

Keep it up :)

I would be carefull. Origins (now EA I think), is very protective of their intelectual property, so you could have a potential lawsuit on your hands, even if you use it and are not charging others for it.

I'm a big Wing Commander fan (The games, not the movie), and there are a few OL games based off of WC, but the ones built from the ground up have been told to not use anything from any of the WC universe.

Thanks for the feedback and I think you're right, it's a bit slow on this channel.

I'm a bit worried about that intellectual property right -situation also, have to talk with the project leaders about the situation. I'd presume they would already had had somekind of contact from the EA side, but I have to confirm what's up with that.
