One quick note is that if you're interested in general chatting in-thread the very long Hivemind thread might be a good place for you. It's a long-running thread of inanity, running jokes and silliness and you absolutely don't need to have been reading anything before now to understand it.

I've been posting there for a decade and I still have no idea what is going on.

Sadly it's been getting quieter in recent years.
