[Unarmed Attacks] Have we been living a lie?

Areas where the mounted combat rules are funky: does Ride-By Attack protect you or the mount (or both) from AoOs; lances being medium weapons means you can dual-wield them; can you really cleave with a lance; how do you resolve a Trample plus weapon attacks; etc.

Hrm. I guess I don't know the issuess. I'll watch out for it.

Ahh, yes. I have caught these from time-to-time and had questions myself. I didn't know they were heralded as one of the worst parts of the 3e ruleset. Heh. My best advice on mounted combat is to remember that 3e has no facing (though as you said, that is a different thread).
