So my friend sitting right next to me at this moment goes to buy a necklace of natural weapons, and the desciption dictates that it cost 600 plus the enhancement cost x the number of natural weapons effected. does his unarmed strike count as one or two natural weapons?

All unarmed strikes are a single weapon. For a Monk, it counts as either manufactured or natural, depending on what benefits the monk the most. For anyone else, unarmed strike is considered a manufactured weapon.

Note, that amulet is a MASSIVE ripoff for a monk, and is best for creatures with multiple attacks, like 4 claws and a bite or something. A monk can actually benefit from Magic Weapon and Magic Fang spells (and the greater versions thereof), if the casters in the party would like to help out.

No problem. i should point out, while that's all RAW, many people here don't like it, and in particular say monks shouldn't get to call their unarmed strikes natural weapons, for fear of them taking Imp. Natural Attack with it and actually rivalling the power attacking fighter for damage.

Oh, my. That is a terrible feat at the start, as it's basically a +1 to damage... right up until it goes from 1d8 to 2d6, making it a +2.5, then at 3d6 it's +3.5, and so on.

A feat that scales? Heresy.

Good mid-level feat. I approve.
