Unconfirmed Dark Sun World Book

D&D 5E (2024) Unconfirmed Dark Sun World Book

Like the Wizard of Oz munchkins in the photos above? Yeah I don't think that will work.

Also where does it say Darksun Halflings have black hair and dark coppery skin? I don't remember that at all, although maybe that is in a book I don't have. I do remember that they are "quick", "paint their skin red and green", "are rarely affected by Age" and have "hair that grows to great length". None of those things seem to be consistent with the culture or even stereotypes associated with the RL people they are supposedly based on.

It would seem they did exactly what you suggest and are still criticized.

The only dark skinned Halflings I know about are from a hot world in Realmspace and they worship Ptah.

We shouldn't worry about the update of the crunch because this is their main goal. The possible retcon of the lore or the metaplot is a different thing.

Now I am thinking about a new fool idea. Maybe there were more champions of Rajaat but someones died during the cleasing war, others killed by Rajaat when during the rebellion and the rest by the SKs before funding their own city-states.

But the interesting thing is when those souls killed before the age of the SKs are "reincarnated" in a weird way, returning to the past (like the regression or second-chance mangas), with the possibilites to rewrite the Athasian History. Then Athaspace would have different "layers" like a videogame with bad and happy end. One of those layers would be a "blue Athas" style Kevin Costner's "Waterworld" movie but attacked by biopunk living machines style Junji Ito's "Gyo" and "Horizon Zero Dawn".
