Lich: Liches are spellcasters that use their magical ability to extend their existence after they should have naturally died. This results in a powerful necromantic transformation that turns the once-living mage into a monstrous undead creature.
To become a lich, the spellcaster must place a portion of their life force into a specially-prepared object – a phylactery.
Mohrg, Risen Form of a Mass-Murderer That Died Before They Could Atone for Their Crimes: Mohrgs are undead that are the risen forms of mass-murderers that died before they could atone for their crimes.

Wraith: This monstrosity feeds on the life force of living creatures, draining their very souls and transforming those slain by its touch into other hate-filled wraiths.
Zombie: A zombie is a mindless animated corpse that continues to move through necromantic energy. Most zombies are animated constructs created by a necromancer to serve as basic guards or soldiers.
Plague Zombie: These creatures, like normal zombies, travel in large packs and seek to eat the flesh of living creatures. Worse yet, their bite transfers a deadly necromantic infection that transforms anyone affected into a plague zombie when they die.

Animate Objects
Effect: General Action: Standard
Range: Ranged Duration: Sustained
Cost: 3 points per rank
You can imbue objects with animation and a semblance of life, making them constructs under your control (see Constructs, page 148). Create the object as a construct with (rank × 15) total power points, or see Chapter 11 for some sample constructs. Constructs are subject to the campaign’s power level limits. The object gains movement according to its form: statues can get up and walk, for example, rugs can crawl, balls roll, cars drive, etc.
Power Feats
• Progression: Each time you apply this feat, move the total number of objects you can animate at once one step up the Time and Value Progression Table (2, 5, 10, etc.). You can still only animate one object per standard action.
Extras
• Additional Type (+1/+2): You can animate things other than solid objects. Choose one of the following: gases (including air), images (pictures, including drawings, paintings, and photographs), liquids (including water), and shadows. For a +2 modifier you can animate all of these other types of things. You are still limited to animating things with a power level no greater than your power rank and power points no greater than your rank × 15. Alternately, you can substitute an additional type for solid objects for a +0 modifier, making your power into Animate Images or Animate Shadows, for example.
• Horde (+1): You can animate your maximum number of objects with one standard action. You must have the Progression power feat to take this extra.
Flaws
• Limited (–1): You can only animate one type of object, such as corpses (creating zombies), machines, natural earth and stone, and so forth.

Ghost, Apparition, Fetch, Haunt, Shade, Specter, Spectral Echo, Haunting Presence, Standard Apparition: Also known as apparitions, fetches, haunts, phantoms, shades, specters, and many other names across countless cultures, a ghost is the spectral echo of a now-dead person or thing that has refused to move on to whatever awaits it after its normal lifetime. This reticence may be due to unfinished business left over from their lives, particularly heinous or traumatic circumstances surrounding the demise in question, or a continuing attachment to a person, place, or thing left in the mortal realm that simply transcends expected limitations.
In any case, the exact nature of the haunting presence varies from situation to situation. The ghost can be associated with either a person or a place.
Revenant: Much like the ghost, the revenant is a person or creature that has refused to shuffle of this mortal coil when it reached the end of its life. Unlike the ghost, the revenant is still in possession of its old body, rather than being a disembodied spirit, and it usually carries considerably more “oomph!” physically than it did in its days among the warm and living, as if the supernatural had amped it up for the task before it.
Also, traditionally, the revenant is almost exclusively holding onto its existence in order to complete a particular task or set of related tasks, usually revenge in some form or fashion.
Captain Blood, Jonathan Carter, Bloody Jack Carter, Pirate Ghost: Jonathan “Bloody Jack” Carter was one of the most infamous pirates of the 17th century Caribbean, crossing swords with the legendary Crimson Corsair himself. The success of “Captain Blood” came to an end when he crossed a Voodoo priestess, who cursed him to know darkness, death, servitude, and to never know rest. It wasn’t long thereafter that the Black Plunder went down with all hands on board to a dark and watery grave.
It didn’t remain so, however. The Voodoo loa Baron Samedi, seeking to plague his foe Siren, used the power of the curse upon Captain Blood and his ship to raise vessel and crew from the briny depths.
Malador the Mystic, Malador the Malificent, Mummy, Sorcerer, Ancient Mage, Ancient Sorcerer, Master Sorcerer, Madman, Undead Sorcerer, Dark Necromancer, Atlantean Sorcerer, Atlantean, Villain, Necromancer: Malador is no longer a living being, having become more of an undead creature sustained by his powerful magic.
In fact, Malador’s life force is bound into the golden mask he wears.

Malevolent Minion of Malador
Malevolent Minion of Malador reanimates a corpse as an undead minion, either a zombie or skeleton, depending on the state of the remains (M&M, page 235). This is an Animate Objects effect (rank 1 for zombies, rank 2 for skeletons), Limited to those subjects. Additional ranks are typically allocated to Progression to animate and control large numbers of undead minions, and Malador has at least once used a version with the Horde extra to animate an army of undead all at once.

Crypt Kicker, Bobby Joe Puckett, Ace, Government Agent, Perfect Soldier, Pet Corpse, Goon, Guard, Undead Agent, Dead Ace, Favorite Corpse, Dead Bodyguard, Sometime Companion: He drifts through the 1980s, getting in trouble for more small-time stuff, but in 1987 kills a clerk in a liquor store robbery gone wrong. He snaps and takes a deer rifle and a .45 magnum to the top of a tower at the University of Texas in Austin, and spends an afternoon sniping at passers-by. He kills 26—27 if you count himself, as to avoid capture he blows away the side of his head and half his face with the pistol. But his career is only beginning.
Puckett wakes up in the potters’ field where he was buried, which had also been used as a toxic waste dump, and he realizes the Lord has given him a second chance to do right with his life.
