Underdark?

First Post
After a handful of sessions using my own adventures, I've led my players into the dreaded Underdark :] . Since my knowledge of the place consists only of reading the first Drizzt books,
I thought of trying out some module which takes place in the Underdark, only ones I've seen where the Demonweb pits one and Queen of spiders. Though they are considered very good, I don't feel like working on converting them to 3.5 (since I don't have a lot of free time for preparing sessions).
So, does anyone know any good 3.5 Underdark modules?

I'm sure there are some good Underdark modules, but there's also the 3.5 Realms sourcebook, Underdark which I found to be good and even good enough for general use (though some people despise it).

There's also the upcoming Drow of the Underdark which is a drow sourcebook for the Realms. (Part of the description is "The drow finally get their due!" That made me laugh. A lot.)

Additionally, there's an Expedition to the Demonweb Pits coming out in April, and an Expedition to Undermountain coming out..sometime.

I don't despise it but I don't think its very good. It needs to be redone to the same quality, standard and format as the environment series. Just a dream I have. :)

As for modules... one of the original 3.0 modules was a fairly decent underdark adventure (I can't remember the name for the life of me... had the Desmodu as a main part of it), and that played well when I ran it.

I'll agree with you there. :-) I'd love to see an Underdark environment book...that'd be awesome.

I agree. I'd like it to be more generic and not FR related. At some point, the "Underdark" became associated with FR and some people can't even separate it from FR. The concept of the Underdark existed before FR was a published setting.

Isn't Dungeonscape likely to be an "Underdark Environment" book, at least in part? Some dungeons are mostly natural caves that have been adapted to the use of intelligence, after all.

I think that Dungeonscape will be more about Dungeons than Underdark.

The FR Underdark book might be a tad fixated on the Faerunian Underdark, but I also think since few have mapped the Oerthian Underdark, it's not like you still can't use it.

I'm sure Dungeon has a few Underdark scenarios. I just can't recall any off hand.

Scar,

It would be more entertaining if Orcus showed up, killed all the Drow gods and THEN you had to fight him. :p ;)

People shouldn't listen to Nightfall though because he thinks EVERYTHING is made better by an appearance of Orcus. ;)
