I can't say it's the DM's one job, but setting DCs is pretty high on the list of "Things DMs Do."</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>It is in the rules. The players ask if they can do something, the DM either says, "yes" or "no" or "sounds like an X ability check, kinda hard, so DC 18." And, no, I don't expect anyone to instantly agree with me. That's your bag, with the grand sweeping statements of how the game actually works. I'm perfectly fine with you disagreeing. Please do. I'm much less fine with you defining how you play as the way the game works and then dismissing other's concerns about playtest material based on that.</p></blockquote><p></p>
