Can Desecrate be used as the spell effect for an Unhallow spell?

Or is the list of spell effect choices in the Unhallow spell description exclusive?

It's exclusive.

But there's nothing to stop the DM from hand-waving. Besides, desecrate has a very long duration so allowing it to work with hallow is less of an issue than it would be with a lot of other spells. They also mesh well together.

I will probably hand-wave it then. I like the overlap the spells have, and it will make my final encounter with the True Necromancer and his Pale Master consort truly frightening.

The other spell I was considering was Invisibility Purge. That would be excellent for all the undead in the temple. Say goodbye to Hide from Undead, say hello to pain.
