Agreed but that's not to say I don't think it looks pretty cool. :)

Edit: Apologies for not combining my two responses! :o

It looks like they had to reduce paint steps; judging from the source illustration, those are chitinous plates. The flesh in between them should be the same pinkish-purplish (dare I say, mauve?) color as the face. I can see how the pebbly texture on the chitin can look like rivets and armor, though.

Okay, no robot parts in the original (the mini's quality just sucks), but I stick to my giant shrimp statement. :p

The Caller in Darkness is a psionic undead monster (see here). With their ego whip at will, they're the bane of every power-game (except those who play paladins, of course ;) )

Seems that they're cranking up the psionics quite a bit. I guess many will be happy for that, but some will be petered off a lot, too (as not everyone likes psionics).

The other figure isn't exactly news, as the picture has already been leaked (which probably forced their hand). It's Incarnum material.

I'll agree it is a Dreamblade mini that might be usefull as a D&D mini. About a 4 on the following scale...

10. Dreamblade mini that will be useful as a D&D mini.
9.
8.
7.
6.
5. Dreamblade mini that might be usefull as a D&D mini.
4.
3.
2.
1.
0. Dreamblade mini that is too out there to be usefull as a D&D mini.

Dragon 353 is in.

Blood Golem of Hextor: Sucks to be less-than-enthusiastic about constructs. Someone in the D&D minis department seems to love those (the rest to fantasysy?). Somehow that seems to suggest to me that we won't have to wait too long for minis with gunnes.

I also think that the Blood Golem will have DDM stats that won't be bad at all...

Dire Lion: Yay, a new one, I bet it's uncommon. I still think they should release a Dire Tiger first - we don't have that at all, It should come before the second run of the Dire Lion.

Black Dragon: Well, we knew that one already. Dragons are always welcome, and Black is my favourite dragon flavour.

I know this isn't unhallowed, but the Product Listing for Night Below is online

The one booster they show has what I'm quite sure is a Shadow Dragon (Deep Dragon having been covered in Underdark already, and those two are the two most iconic Underdark/Night Below dragons, and also happen to look quite similar.

I'm hoping there's a darkmantle in there as well.

Fair enough. :)

Quori are native to Dal Quor, the extraplanar Region of Dreams. They are 'living embodiments of dream and nightmare', so yes, the resemblance to some Dreamblade minis is a given.
