Sol'Sword
Sol'Might
Sol'Blessed
Sol'Eternum Highest rank.

This work for you Rob?
Hmm, not really, but that could work for the followers of Apollo, which is also a deity in my campaign. Something to consider.

The priests of my Sun God use titles such as Clarion, Radiance, Purifier, and the like.

Tied to barbaric traditions, I can see "The Bloodsun," which is the name for the first reddish ray of sun that shines over the horizon on the first day after the Spring equinox -- when, traditionally, blood sacrifices are made. "The Bloodsun" might apply to a war saint, of course.
Cool.

"The Bloodsun" is definitely going to make it into my campaign, but it doesn't really work for Argo, IMO. Note that the character was NG, but just went through the Axiomatic ceremony from Exalted Deeds. He's a cleric, a radiant servant, and the player just selected a level of Prestige Paladin from UA.

He's big into mercy and redeeming the wicked, although I have a feeling he's going to become a lot more martial, now. Hmm, I'll have to see "how" martial he becomes. Maybe "The Bloodsun" could become something the bad guys start calling him. :D

Thanks Kevin,

Some more from Old Norse (I once found a .pdf Old Norse-English dictionary; it's pure gold for finding fun names for things that actually mean something in a barbaric-sounding language):

Rodull: sun
Dagr: day, daylight
Ljos: light
Kveykva: light (verb)
Dagan: daybreak
Fell: mountain
Fjoll: mountain
Fjollottr: mountainous
Stjarna: star
Ofridr: war
Drengr: warrior
Rekkr: warrior
Skod: weapon
Vapn: weapon

Hope some of those help :)

Hmm, I could see him being called the Skod of Jalivier. :]

BTW, one of my other player's character has become a bit of a folk hero amongst the farmers and ranchers of the mountain range where I've placed Cauldron. (Yes, that Cauldron. We've finished the SCAP and are heading towards Epic play.)

They have started calling him Segg / Seggr, which means "Hero" in Old Norse. :)

It also means man and warrior, but those terms are less likely to get a rise out of the player.

Rob,

Eh well I'm sorry I could do much but my Norse/Icelandic sucks. :p That said I'm happy you like this for Apollo.

*thinks that one guy Kratos should fight in God of War III* :p ;)

My suggestion: The faith starts to call him Luminar, which means the Son of Dawn. Has a kind of 'Breath of God' feel to it (I love Sep's storyhour too).

I'm fond of His Holiness the Emperor, Speaker of the Heavens and Chosen of Claris Sol. Of course, that's a bit campaign world specific and likely a bit higher level than you are looking for.

Grand High Poobah is another favorite.

Sorry, it's late and I'm a bit groggy...cursed insomnia
