Unorthodox classes - how have you used them?

I know at least a few ENWorlders are own some of the Unorthodox class books from TheLe Games. If you've used them, how have they worked out? Any interesting things come up? Anything you particularly enjoy about them?

I like when they are logical variations of the class in question. Unorthodox Druids I thought was pretty good, I particulary liked the idea of the tree warden. I feel that some of the classes are too specific and seem more like PrCs than core classes.

As you may (or may not) be aware, I am very sketchy about new core classes.

But as you also may be aware, I think the existing core bard is entirely too narrow in scope, which makes the Unorthadox bard somewhat tempting.
