We’re still doing opinions we think are probably unpopular, right? - The Avengers (2012) is a bad film, one of the least watchable in the MCU. - Blue Beetle is a good film, good enough to relaunch the DCCU by itself. - The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales are an incoherent mess, the product of unholy necromancy on Tolkien’s waste paper basket to keep the money coming. They are not as bad as their main by product, the Fionavar Tapestry. - Firefly was just bad, honestly. - Harry Potter is just awful, especially after the editor quit (some time around book 5). Almost any modern YA fantasy series is streets ahead - pick your favourite. Rick Riordan’s work alone beats it into a cocked hat. - Star Fleet was one of the best things on UK TV back in the 1980s. It should have launched a whole anime puppet movement but sadly never did. - Pretty much all modern Dr Who is pants apart from a few episodes. - Batman is an incredibly boring and unsympathetic character who frankly should just be allowed to die. I would much rather read comics about almost everyone else he knows, including Ace and the Signal. The Joker should join him in the dustbin of time. - Camp Cretaceous is hands down the best of the Jurassic Park franchise, since its writers actually give a crap about anything (including storytelling). OK, that one probably isn’t unpopular.
