It warps them all for life in a variety of ways - they may get over it in time but why do the harm? *spoilers for personal boasting.[spoiler] I scored highest of my year in the Eton scholarship exam and was therefore in College - the privileged scholars’ house in one of the most privileged schools in the world - for five years before going on to get four degrees at Cambridge. It’s very much part of my personal Hamilton narrative that I’m a kid from a poor dictatorship (as South Korea was in 1981) who didn’t speak English when my family came over when I was 6 and I was top scholar at Eton 6 years later, but it’s also nonsense - it’s a lot more complicated than that and I was privileged in a number of ways before I ever went to Eton, let alone afterwards.[/spoiler]</blockquote>
