I'm fond of traps that send the PCs to other planes. I'm not sure how they feel about it.
The last time, they ended up in the Astral Plane, thanks to a trapped treasure chest.

Wow, I do not remember for sure, but I may have used all of these methods. Unfortunately, the players just look at me and say, "Oh boy, Gabe has another world, loud bang and a flash of light, where are we now?".
Although, the last plane shift with one of my groups was entertaining. As the party was questioned by some guards as to their arrival, they just looked at each other for a second and then one of the players said, "I don't know, we were just all standing around taking a leak on this tree and the next thing you know, here we are.".
