Don't split the party.

Work with the DM and fellow party members to have a good time.

Rule 0a: If the players' plan is more complicated than kick in the door, kill the monsters, take their loot, you've made your players think too hard.

Be coutesy and polite to everyone else as the table.

Take a shower once a day (and frankly, I think this needs to written in the rules somewhere!!)

Kind of a big turn-off to the DM.
