Upcoming Adventure Review

So I need to look at an adventure for levels 11-12 or level 8. I'll ponder a bit than send an e-mail this weekend with my thoughts.

Just to reiterate, I'm hearing the following needs within the next month:
- 1 game for levels 11-12
- 2 games for level 8-10
- 1 game for levels 4-5

Hmmm, that would take some pressure off me and I can play Tyrien straight up instead of NPC’d.

That would free me up as well to run something down at lower levels. Here is what we have in the 11-13th level:
Tyrien
Heinrich
Eanos
Relic
Daylily (Possibly)
Glasseye's Characters (Possibly Orlando or Elenka)
Sylvain (but I don't think Gerald007 is around anymore)


Looking at levels 8-10 we have:
Larissa
Lem
Maui
Vincenzo
Weel Naxel
Menik

There is room there for 2 groups if Mowgli and I have 8th levels replacing our higher level characters.

If Mowgli takes the higher level game, the running one of the two Level 8-10 games would be good. Maybe SS21 can take the other?

Looking down at the lower levels we have:
Muzdum, Charity, Robert -> Levels 4-5
Yosephus, Darvus, Delvin -> Level 3
Tamarie, Karra, Brandon, Francis John -> Level 2

Assuming the three characters still listed in the DWI are no longer around, that could be 2-3 games. The level mix really doesn't work well with trimming down to 2 games. Maybe Mowgli would want to play a 5th level as well. If I am not DMing anything higher, I can pretty much take the Level 4-5 and the Level 2 so Aura can play both characters as he DMs the Level 3 Trio.

Considering my posting rate lately, I would let Orlando and Elenka rest for a bit and just stick to Kepli (who is in a game atm).

I suppose I could try an 8th-10th level game, but I will freely warn people that I have never DM'ed anything that high a level. I do have some ideas in my head that would probably work at that level, though, so I'll sit down and see what I can come up with.

OK, I'll see what I can do for the 11-12 level then. I'm pretty slammed so it may be a week or two before I get it together.

I've got one concept I'm happy with for a character that I could put in either at 5th or 8th level. I can probably come up with another to run at the other level.

If we need another level 5 character, I could dust off Thuvian. My schedule is still a bit hectic, though, so I would prefer to see if he is really needed first.

I got a message from Lindeloef letting me know he wouldn't be continuing past his current adventures. Penciling in a SS21, our groups look like this:

Muzdum, Charity, Thuvan -> Levels 4-5
Yosephus, Darvus, Delvin -> Level 3
Tamarie, Brandon, Francis John -> Level 2

If we remove either Tamarie or Charity from the group I run (and I'd choose to play Charity in that scenario), and then split the 3's up between the two remaining fractions on a basis of reasonable group comp, we get something like:

Muzdum, Charity, Thuvan, Devlin (levels 3-5)
Yosephus, Darvus, Brandon, Francis John (levels 2-3, DM = Aura)

Does that look OK?

Mowgli, you have some time yet as Blancher's Revenge is going to last probably 2+ Weeks yet. It is one encounter, but it has not started yet and it is too hard to say how long the encounter will last. Looking at the character mix (Archer, Inquisitor, 2 Wizards), it will still be missing a melee type character (without Daylily) and have limited healing.

Aura, now there is no reason to finish Road to Tritower earlier than Return to Boar's Ridge. Once they do, I will be free to run both of those lower level games. It makes sense to have Tamarie switch groups for balance to make 4 players at level 2, they could be close to 3rd level too once free from those adventures. With Robert and Karra out of the picture, Charity would be the only one waiting until those two adventures finished (unless you wanted to spend some DMC to level her). How do you feel about running something levels 8-10?

SS21, looking at things there is no need for Thuvian unless you really wanted to, but we don't have any other 5th levels without Lindeloef's Robert. If you are really uncomfortable at level 8-10, you could take something lower down and I take a group up there if Aura cannot. But if you look at who might be in a Level 7-8 group below, that is not a bad way to gain some experience DMing a game that level with 3 Judges in it that know the rules pretty well.

Deuce Traveler, looking at things a level 7-8 would be yours. But if you would rather have something in the ranges of 2-4 that's okay. You also could have a second character into the mix if you want. You have plenty of DMC to level them up to fit.

Here is a breakdown of an option shifting some things around.
Group 1 Level 8-10: (DM - Either PM or Aura)
Lem(DT), Maui(jbear), Vincenzo(SdW), Weel Naxel(JK), Menik(Kenim)

Group 2 Level 7-8: (DM - DT or SS21)
Larissa(Mfloyd), Charity (Aura)(Leveled up to 7 with DMC), 2 Level 8's (PM & Mowgli)

Group 3 Level 3-4: (DM - Either SS21/DT or Aura)
Muzdum(voda Vosa), Yosephus(TS), Darvus(Halivar), Delvin(resrick), Mowgli's level 3-4

Group 4 Level 2: (DM - Either PM or SS21/DT)
Tamarie(Aura), & 3 from Road to Tritower

The higher level should be fine. I've had an idea bouncing around my head for a while that is turning out to work quite well at that level. It needs some fine tuning still, but the outline mostly wrote itself.
