Upcoming CoC books

Carl Stanford

First Post
In the April edition of Previews the following CoC-related products are announced:

Chaosium:
- Encyclopedia Cthulhiana 2nd edition 17.95
- Dreamlands hardcover 34.95

Fiery Dragon Productions
- Eldritch Horrors and occult investigators counter pack 10.95

I think the Dreamlands hardcover book is dual-statted.

Check out Chaosium's Release page.

Pulp Cthulhu is supposed to be out this fall, just like it was supposed to be out last summer. There still hasn't been any word on it, but we can hope.

I didn't see anything indicating that the Dreamlands book would be d20, which is kind of a pity since it would seem to work the best with with third edition games. At least they're revising the book and adding a lot more- the sample pages look very nice.

I had e-mailed Chaosium about Dreamlands late last year and they said that it would not be d20.

Later,
Matt

Thanks for the info Carl, what leads you to belive that Dreamlands is d20? Either way I will buy it, but I was just curious why you stated it. Also a counter pack will kick butt if there are enough investigator counters and vehicles and what not, but I perfer to leave the "creatures" unseen ;)

Also do you know what happen to The White People and other Tales compelation? It was projected to be released last year. Got to love me some new Cthulhu fiction :D

Well, I don't work for Chaosium and I don't even know anybody at Chaosium. I just read Previews to see what is upcoming.

I thought Dreamlands would be dual-statted but I guess I was wrong. Too bad as I think the Dreamlands would make an interesting D20 fantasy-like setting. Hopefully some fans will do a conversion website or something.

I don't know anything about The White People and other Tales compilation.

I think the counterpack might be interesting as I do use counters in my Delta Green games. There were counters in the original CoC boxed set so I don't think it is a bad thing, as long as you use them wisely.
