I was crusing around ay WotC's site just now and noticed that they've posted a cover and some details on the starter pack for the upcoming Star Wars minis line:

Interestingly, there is no more mention of expansion packs, I assume that this is just something that they need to update.

Also, on the listing for Ultimate Adversaries, I noticed one of the bullet points states "More than 75 alien creatures, many of which first appeared in the Ultimate Alien Anthology but have been updated for the revised rules." I'm confused -- I thought that Ultimate Alien Anthology came out well after the revised rulebook and was all up to date. Thoughts?

I believe this to be a slight error / misprint, as it probably should refer to the original Alien Anthology. The way I understand it the alien species were all updated with the UAA but there was no space for the creatures included in the original AA, so it was decided to revise them later on, hence their inclusion in Ultimate Adversaries.

However, it seems like you have "won" because you even managed to squeeze a second post into the same minute. ;)

My net-fu seems strong tonight, bless my company's high-speed connection. :)

only 10 minis in the starter pack? that sucks...

didn't the first D&D minis starter pack have like 16?

To Nitpick...

Lightsabers never illuminate the scene around them... did you ever notice that? They glow... but only "so far" I guess it's an artifact of the FX process... but they never reflect off any one's helmet, eyes or change the color of the surroundings.

So the box art is all wrong. :)

Hmm...I think there's more than ten:

-10 collectable miniatures from the classic Star Wars films
-8 randomized, 2 exclusive Luke Skywalker, Rebel and Darth Vader, Dark Jedi available only in this pack

Or...not...looking at that again, looks like 10 minis, with 2 of them already decided. Hmm....

Oh, and UA is supposed to have the 'monsters' that were in AA updated, along with some others and such to fill it out.

I don't know, I suspect another light source, it's not red or green tinged, looks bluish.
