I'd like to point out a few key differences though.1.) The Spoiler for Magic was the ENTIRE line of Mythics (for those who don't know, they're the rare/money cards) and Expeditions (blinged out chase cards); not merely the product's existence. To equate, it would be the equivalent of someone snapping a shot on their cell phone of a production sheet of Curse of Strahd that gave us the Table of Contents, Strahd's Stats, and every new magic items and uploading it, not just the announcement. 2.) WotC pairs with various Magic fansites and dealers to "spoil" cards via their outlet (think how they spoiled the 5e PHB classes during its release). By spoiling so many of the money cards at once, they drove down traffic to those other sites. The leak hurt their partners more than them.3.) The Magic leaks where snaps taken at a production plant or via the Judge's guild; this was literally searching for the word Strahd on WotC's site (and later on Amazon). It wasn't exactly top secret if you knew what to look for. 4.) We still don't know a lot of the details, merely its existence. Is this a full AP or the shorter module? Tied to the Realms? Will it reference the old setting or merely retell the classic story for a third time? What kind of supplemental products will we see from the partners? There is plenty of stuff for WotC to still reveal Monday.4a.) Who picks MLK day to reveal their big media campaign? So I don't think this is a big a problem as the Oath spoilers, in fact it gives WotC the weekend to get people excited or curious. There is no such thing as bad media...</blockquote>
