Pathfinder 1E [UPDATED] The What Is It? Contest #8

Mark Chance

Boingy! Boingy!
Hello! It's time for the eighth What Is It? Contest. Like every other contest, the goal is to create a monster for the picture of month. This month's picture perches expectantly near you here.

The Rules
1. One submission per entrant.

2. Post a complete stat block and fluff text for the creature depicted at the link above in this thread using the standard format for PF monsters. Also, include at least two plot hooks for the monster.

3. Your work must be your own and cannot use anyone's Product Identity or Closed Content material.

4. The deadline is 7 September 2012. After this, all entries are considered final.

5. A winner will be chosen via a poll set up in another thread. This poll will remain open until approximately 14 September 2012.

6. All entrants retain rights to their submissions.

The Prizes
1. The winner chosen by poll gets to brag about how awesome his or her monster is.

2. The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to DriveThruRPG. Reception of the gift certificate is contingent on me having a valid email address for the winner.

I dunno, Mark. I generally enjoy your contests, but I am just not getting inspired by this picture. It makes me throw up a little in the back of my throat.

Well, the original picture I picked for this contest wasn't inspiring anyone, so I switched to a new picture and updated the dates. :)

Haha. I had a vague idea for an underwater critter with a gaze attack, but it never really gelled into anything. The new picture looks interesting.

[joke entry] The fuzzynator

Code:
This is written up as a familiar.

Master Natural
Class Level Armor Adj. Int Special
1st–2nd +1 6 Alertness, improved evasion, share spells,
                                     empathic link
3rd–4th +2 7 Deliver touch spells
5th–6th +3 8 Speak with master
7th–8th +4 9 Speak with animals of its kind
9th–10th +5 10 Special attack: Warm fuzzies [su]
11th–12th +6 11 Spell resistance
13th–14th +7 12 Scry on familiar
15th–16th +8 13 Special Attack: Distracting flight [ex]
17th–18th +9 14 Special Attack: Breath hinderance [ex]
19th–20th +10 15 Special Attack: Major sleep [sp]

[U]Warm fuzzies[/U] [su]: Just the sight of this familiar has an enthrall effect.
To resist standing and simply looking upon the fuzzynator requires a dc 18
will save.

[U]Distracting flight[/U] [ex]: This effect has the same result as a dog walking
and minding his own business until a squirrel is seen. The dog responds by
barking: SQUIRREL!!!

in this case the familiar flys about and opponents stand in place and say,
"purdey!!" To resist requires a dc 20 will save to resist.

[U]Breath hindrance [ex][/U]: It flight becomes a weapon as it can shake off
scales from it self as a fine cloud in a 10 feet radius. it will cause hacking
and coughing to the point of inability to act, but not being helpless. Dex
based abilities are also hindered. victim is flatfooted as well. This effect
remains while in the cloud. dc 25 fort save to resist

[U]Major sleep [sp][/U]: The gentle flapping of the wings creates a restful
sensation in humanoids within 30 feet that causes one to lie down and sleep
on the spot. This sleep remains for 1 minute. dc 30 will save to resist.
success still causes victims to only have one action due to grogginess.
