Upgrade your d20 for FREE!!

As you all know the revised edition of d20, Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, is coming July 11. ALL THREE core books are being released at the same time. Initial cover price for each book is $29.95. With tax, that will be over $90 you'll have to invest to upgrade your d20. Why not get more for your gaming dollar? For a limited time, when you subscribe to an 8 or 12-volume subscription to Gaming Frontiers you will receive the three d20 core books for free when they are released in July. We'll ship them to you for FREE via priority mail!! We'll preorder the books for you and get them the same day the retail stores do. Then we'll turn around and ship them out to you. You should have them within 5 to 10 days of their release.

so where is the consideration for potential subscribers outside of the US?

There doesn't seem to have been any provision made for us at all.

Subscription forms for those outside the US

There are now secure online credit card forms as well as printable versions for both Deal #1 and Deal #2. I'll get the other three deals up and running later tonight. But right now I have to go to my place of worship and make my wekly offering to my patron deity.

Rob, is there any chance at all that people who have already subscribed but barely begun to receive any issues could choose this deal? It sounds like the best one so far, and I feel rather foolish for kicking myself for subscribing too early, before the best possible deal came out.

Hi, GamingFrontiersRob. :) How long is "for a limited time?" I'm interested, but would prefer to hold fire until the end of the month (~21 March or so).

Best,

"For a limited time"

Till the end of March is a safe bet. We have no set deadline for when we will pull these subscriptions off the website. It's all a matter of number of in-stock items (which varies from product to product) and amount of orders. If we got 1,000 orders in the next 3 days we would probably put a temporary hold on subs so we could catch up on the processing.

Subscribers outside U.S.

Okay, all five deals are set up to receive foreign subscribers. Off each individual Deal Page there is a link to go to a secure online credit card form that can accept addresses from outside the United States. Printable mail-in forms are also available.

My apologies for the slight. We have a lot of foreign interest but not a lot of foreign subscribers because of the additional shipping charges (Although I think it's still a great deal). When I made up the pages it just slipped my mind. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

previous subscribers

Alzrius,
If you have received anything from us then you have already gotten a promotional package of books. If that's the case then, no, I'm sorry but I can't transfer your subscription to a different subscription.

If you just subscribed to the latest deal (the over $260 in retail value) and HAVEN'T received your first shipment then, yes, I have no problem transfering the subscription. Why don't you email me personally and we can discuss it further rob@unitedplaytest.com. Make sure to tell me what your real name is in the email so I can look up your order.

While we're on the subject I would like to say previous subscribers ARE welcome to renew their subscriptions and they will get another promotional package. Just fill out the appropriate form and drop me an email to point out it was a renewal. We've had a few customers do this. They have received 20-30 free promotional books yet have only got 2 or 3 volumes of Gaming Frontiers. I have one guy in particular who has subscribed for 20 issues. I picture a day when I'll be producing the book solely for him :)

Fair enough. Thanks for the timely response. :) I'll have to hold fire for a while then and just take my chances. Can't spend money that I don't have. ;)

Time running out on shipping guarantee

I have received word from my distributor that preorders for the new d20 core books should be received by the end of this month (May 2003) in order to guarantee receipt of the books on the initial street release date in July (assuming they ship on time). If I don't have your order by then I can't guarantee I'll be able to ship your books with the first wave. You WILL still get them, just maybe a little later than Johnny down the street.
