Upgrading Magic Items

For some reason I can't find a ruling on this (I'm blind) or a previous thread asking this question.

Can multiple wizards work on the same magic item to reduce the time needed to upgrade that item?

What page(s) resolve this in the rulebooks?

Creation time does not change. Other casters can supply needed spells, but the times never reduce.

I would allow two creators to add different effects simultaneously, so while one is upgrading that armor from +1 to +2, his buddy is adding the silent moves ability.

Conceivably you could shorten the crafting time by having multiple crafters work in series, like wizard A is on duty from 12a-8a, wizard B from 8a-4p, and wizard C from 4p to 12a. Or is that broken and stupid? Whaddaya think, frank?
