Unable to dance to her right, she was also unable to cut through its flesh though her sword did make contact. The creature, later learned to be a wolverine whipped its head around and caught ahold of Kuwaia’s hip, but the bite was fleeting and only her tunic was damaged.</p><p></p><p>A bit farther out of range than he would like to be, Antapkos loosed a javelin, anyway. At almost the same instant, the faster flying arrow from Siofrita reaches the destination of the javelin. Neither projectile can puncture the thick hide of the animal. Though he is firing from point blank, he must take care to not hit Kuwaia, and the arrow from Sprthnt, though striking true, falls harmlessly to the ground just like the other two projectiles.</p><p></p><p>With only about two seconds of time having elapsed, Cormorante and Britta do not yet reach the fray. The wolverine makes its sickening sound again, turning its full attention to Kuwaia, its closest victim.
