By midday, the source of water that makes the growth of the grove possible is reached and the party takes some well needed respite. After some refreshment and rest, it is discovered that the trickle of water coming down the rock face has cut a significant groove in the cliff. There is enough of an angle that it looks easy enough to climb to attempt to locate the source of the water.
