[URBIS] PDF draft or not?

And there's no new interesting details or options for Urbis that aren't in the D&D core? Or will those be more discovered as the campaign advances?

Well, there are a few new magic items. And possibly there will be some prestige classes later on. And there are Nexus Towers - but these aren't really intended for PCs unless they manage to take over a city. But the main goal was to keep the rules as close to the D&D Core as possible, and instead make the world different from "standard" D&D settings.

One issue you haven't brought up yet is the use of the d20STL. Though your comment about not including legalese seems to indicate youdon't plan to use it. Are you planning on releasing a system-neutral document (not sure if that's feasible)?

Do you mean the SRD?

Well, since Urbis does have some rule bits, I have to include that (and the website already does). But that's all the legalese I want to deal with right now...

Sure, but that different world means some different heroes, right? Is that reflected purely in flava, without extra crunch to back it up? Not that that's a bad idea or anything, just trying to see how Urbis is different in play, and it might just be different in description.

It is indeed mostly flavor - I wanted to see how far I could go with the existing rules and make the setting unique without adding lots of new crunch (and I also must admit to a certain dislike of crunch-heavy books...). I hope I have succeeded in this.

Oh, and like I've pointed out in the other thread, I finally did create a PDF version of all the material. It doesn't have a great formatting or anything, but I hope this will be sufficient for all those who clamored for it.

Now give me some more feedback on the setting this time! ;)

I've just created a new PDF version, which you can download here. It is now more than 97,000 words in length, and includes two nifty maps. On one you can see the location of every single city detailed so far - 147 cities!

Now, about that feedback I have been waiting for... ;)

Well, I've had some more time to develop the setting, and I've created some additional rules to empathize what I consider to be important about the setting.

And what I consider important is the emphasis on politics and intrigue. That the PCs join some sort of organization, club, or secret society is not only possible, but expected. And I wanted to provide some sort of rules on how the PCs can rise in the favor of their organization - and what they can get from the organization in return.

The rules are included in the PDF, but you can also read them here. And I must admit that I am rather proud of them...
