USA - Gamer Saturated Cities?

Boston, Chicago, and Seattle all come to mind from what I see here on EN World. There's quite a few from NY, but it doesn't seem like as much as it should be considering how large NY is in comparison. We also have quite a few from North Caroline, though I'm not sure if it is in one city or spread out.

Generally, college towns seem to have a good gamer population, as to do cities further north (perhaps in warmer places, people spend less time with indoor hobbies).

Anyhow, no scientific knowledge there, just my own personal observations.

Yup, Chicago and also Milwaukee have a lot, probably due to the proximity of Lake Geneva. You cannot shake a stick around here without someone from Austin explaining how much damage it would do. ;)

Having lived in NY, Seattle, London, and various smaller cities in the US, I can confirm that college towns are good, but Seattle is the mecca -- as the list shows, it's the Major League city with the highest player percentage.

Not only are Paizo & WOTC located here, but there's just a LOT more FLGS than I've know anywhere else. For example, if I look at just the northern parts of the East Side suburbs(Bellevue-Redmond-Kirkland-Woodinville-Bothell), there's at least 5 game stores that I know of, for a population of maybe 300,000. London has two (Orcs Nest and the one next to the British Museum) for a population of 7-8 million.

Atlanta's got a lot of colleges, and White Wolf is based here. I know I've got a pretty big circle of gamer friends here. Not nearly as many of them are EN Worlders though, especially not compared to the folks in the North Carolina/DC area.

Can't swing a dead (Pirate)cat without coming across players in Central Pennsylvania either. From Harrisburg to Lancaster the pickings are pretty good. Which is good, because some of the pickings are bad.

(I kid of course, PC. Please don't send the ENworld mafia after me.)
