it goes over the top....then circles around to go over the top again to make sure the reader hasn't missed it.....which brings it back around to awesome....in my opinion

Clearly, you haven't played Traveller before; it's famous for the chance that your character can die before you actually start a game.

I once technically managed to die during character creation in Gamma World, lol - I forget the exact combination, but bad rolls gave me low ability scores, some kind of damage sensitivity, and an uncontrollable power that did that kind of damage...
My first use of my own power would have killed me.
It was epic, lol.

(And to top it off, even if I survived the first time, I'd rolled a poor metabolism or something that limited my ability to heal...)
