Useful Languages for Gaming

I was reading some paper about choosing a successful career and this question came to my mind:

What (real life) language(s) would be most useful for someone considering a career in gaming?

I could see Arabic as somewhat helpful if you're in electronic shooting/military games (such as BF 2, Ghost Recon, Command & Conquer), since so many of those games are based on current world events/scenarios.

I think the sole language you need is the language the company you work for uses, which probably would be English. After all, the scripts and character shouts are written and then are performed by native speakers of the language.

This may seem obvious but Looking at the history of the careers of the people who work in gaming; I would say ENGLISH. There are a large number of people in the gaming insustry who have an English Degree. All other real world languages are used for flavor and can be easly looked up or researche when needed.
