Can't help you with that. I know there's a lot of stuff out there, but I haven't been following it for a long time and don't remember any links...

But on the topic of useful software... ahem... At my website I've got a bunch of 4th edition specific programs (and some more stuff for RPGs in general, like dice rollers and turn timers...)

There's a random encounter generator and a database of all the monsters from official sources I've been able to get ahold of.

There's a random treasure generator and a database of all the magic items from official sources I've been able to get ahold of.

There's a program for keeping track of your character's powers (meant to be used in-game). (Requires Windows)

There's a program for making monsters and outputting them in pretty stat blocks. (Requires Windows)

There's a program for crunching all the math to make a monster quickly. This is also built into the monster maker, but this one is web-based and can be used by anyone.

Asmor, I've been using your stuff for a while, it's great stuff...

Question for you, out of curiousity...

Has WOTC tried to shut you down? You are offering the same thing as that DD Insider for free, and it's also way better stuff.

I can't imagine they are oblivious to the fact that these apps are out there, competing with them when they are trying to launch their service off the ground, and the hilites of their service are the encounter builder and the other apps...

They should have just hired you to develop them. Their stuff is pretty bad.

They have not, and rather than speculate about anything I'll just leave it at that. If they had, I would have complied without question.

Is this the appropriate place to sing Asmor's praises? I love his stuff, and if you are looking for useful programs I'd go there first.

I love the programs that Asmor has as well. Really worth a look over at the least. The only thing I'd like to see included is an encounter builder like WotC has. I've looked at the monster lister, but it doesn't go all the way enough for me. Just a suggestion, though.

Sure. Go here and get the latest version of Magic Set Editor, for free. Then go here and get Ander's power card templates for it.

I have magic set editor , but i didnt like it at all because it hinders creativity. I am working on business card trials. They are really fine but with charge. I need something free. Meanwhile i can say that i made a power card incredibly beatiful but need to put lots of images on. So i cant use magic set editor.
