Uses for a blind horse?

I ruled, not so much in the spirit of any knows rules but more for flavor that the manner in which they traveled to the Abyss (which was quite violent and unintentional) tore the celestialness (it's a word) from his mount, blinding it amongst other things.

Interesting. Did you choose to cripple the class features of any other characters at the same time?

It is a bit like the time a DM sucked all of our PCs into a trap dimension (no real choice on our part) and then gleefully informed me that my paladins connection with his god was severed and I had lost all my spells and class abilities. How nice, my PC becomes a warrior NPC class while everyone else gets to carry on just as before. You've not gone that far, obviously, but...

Can a blind paladin's mount still run, charge and fight if directed properly (high ride check), given scent? Or should he be turned into a glue and a meal?

Turn it into glue and meat.

Would you let a sighted PC guide a blind PC so that the blind PC could run? I'm guessing no.
