the armor for mecha depends on the material, example:

Megatanium PL8
equipment bonus +12 (this is the equivalent of armor bonus)
armor penalty -10 (like an armor for skills)
speed penalty -10 feet (same as above)

Very good question. Megatanium looks like +4 Full Platemail.

Mithril and Adamantine should be in the DMG already. Orichalcum is explain in the Epic Bestiary. Neutronium is explained on my website.

Well I can't even remember the Armour Modifier for Full Platemail in 3rd Edition. Was it +8 or +10?

If it was +8 then Orichalcum full platemail would have an Armour Bonus of 96.
