Using preprinted maps and tiles at the table

I print Dundjinni maps and Dungeon magazine maps on card stock and line them with scotch tape. I tape them together and fold them up so I can store them for future use. I can't write on them and they aren't completely protected from damage, but laminating them would solve both issues. They make very pretty battlemaps and my players are always impressed with them. On the downside, it takes about an hour to print, trim, and tape a 60 x 40 battlemap and it's fairly expensive with an inkjet printer.
