Using the Draconomicon

So, I'm trying to figure out the stats this book uses.

For example the Rust Dragon. It doesn't list all his attacks just his bab.

Doesn't list feats.

It might be because I didn't get much sleep or whatever... but I don't want to put forth a lot of thought at the moment.

So.. a little help please?

Just a feats/level or his attacks would go like this ____ or anything really

Unlike other monsters dragons are not statted completely. You are supposed to select feats (1 feat every 3 HD+1), skills and spells for the dragon by yourself.

What attacks a dragon has and what damage they do depends on its size category. Refer to the MM to see which that are look here (scroll a bit down).


If you want to quickly stat the dragon simply look in the back of the MM for a sample dragon with the same number of HD than the rust dragon you want to use and copy its skills and feats over. Just be sure that you meet all requirements and take the different ability scores into account. But its best to wait with that till you get some sleep

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I was looking at.

I just longed for the 3.0 MM where it was all statted out. Haha

I just didn't want to slap a different set of abilities on a sample dragon. So, I was racking my brain trying to find that info and just couldn't place it.
