I'm afraid I can't give you specifics. However, there are a few good ones in the area.

I was visiting my then girlfriend in Virginia Beach a couple of years ago. One day while she was working I went on a gaming store run. Just based on single visits, a few looked quite promising.

It's been 3 years since I left there, so I can't really give you any specifics on shops that have sprung up in that time. However, Campaign Headquarters in Norfolk (off Little Creek Road) is an old favorite. They've been around a LOOONNNGGGG time and still going strong. Not a very large store, but they do carry a large selection/variety of RPGs and Wargames.

Based on my last visit to the area (about 6 months ago), there are very few storefronts whose focus is RPGs, but kinda dabble in RPGs, Comics, and CCGs.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, That gives me hope that I won't have to order everything on the Internet for the next 6 months!

Not sure how close it is to you, but the Game Parlor in Chantilly, VA is absolutely the BEST game store I've ever been in.

I drive about 45-50 min. to get there. It's worth it.

Cool! Looks like I've got my first Saturday scheduled. Hopefully Savage Species or Freedom City is out by then!

Game Parlor is good, probably the best in the area. But it would be about a 3.5 hour drive from Norfolk.

Game Parlor has just expanded into another store. The new store is even bigger than the one in Chantilly. The store is located in Woodbridge. Right across from Potomac Mills Mall, behind Bob Evans Restaurant.

I know that won't help the gentleman in VA Beach but I just thought that it might help the others from Virginia and Maryland.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Doh!!

I'm sure I'll make at least one trip :)

If anyone knows of any other game shops I could visit on a more regular basis (in the Norfolk area), I'd be much obliged!

Thanks!
